Tomio of SHOEI sent us a link from our French buddy, Neo035, the guy known for his period loadout when reviewing period airsoft guns. This time Neo035 makes a comparative review of the MG42 AEGs from SHOEI and AGM for you to find out the quality and performance differences between two MG42 AEGs. But of course, it's more about the budget too.
For those waiting to get their hands of the SHOEI MG42 AEG, here's an update from Tomio. You better need to contact them as soon as you can if you want thier MG42 badly as they produced these in limited quantities... "Dear Friends: Thank you very much for your continued interests. Long time, no mail! I was devoted to the manufacture of the MG42 AEG Model! We ended shipment of the 2nd lot of this model at last!
Tomio sent us a video link on the latest for the SHOEI MG42 Air Blowback Model. Checking it out, it's done by the usual suspect French period airsoft gun reviewer, Neo035 who in this video, is not wearing any uniform (surprise!). But the real good thing is that he gives a full demo on the takedown and showing us the assembly of this model.
More video links sent by Tomio on the SHOEI MG42 AEG. The first one is a follow-up video by Nishiyan240 which is something for you to watch as you'll see the firing mechanisms of the AEG in slow motion so you get to see more details. The second one is another test fire video, but this time it's MSGKenken doing the test.
Nishiyan240 posts another video of the SHOEI MG42 AEG in action. This video gives us a better look of the externals as well as the mechanical parts in action showing the care taken to have a reliable working MG42 AEG. It looks like there is some recoil action when being fired and the performance and quality looks good.
Another video sent in by SHOEI regarding their SHOEI MG42 AEG Version (there are two more versions of this which is the air blowback and the non-working model) which they test fired the airsoft gun at 8 metres to test the inner barrel. Most of the BBs hit the target area which was the size of a cigarette pack. Interested buyers can now order by getting in touch them.

The more affordable MG42 made for the Matrix brand of Evike.com (around US$499.00 as of this writing) gets reviewed by the Team Black Sheep Airsoft of Brian Holt... "Our team Team Blacksheep has been running the German camouflage and most of the rifles for a long time and this MG42 has got us excited and we finally bought it! First off this machine gun is a beast with that classic style when compared to the other support guns out there."
Something to watch this Sunday regarding the MG42 AEG from Shoei which Tomio sent in. His friend, MSGKenken (Master Sgt. Kenken?) is a compilation of photos he took of the support AEG and also a video of it being test fired. So far this the only MG42 airsoft replica that has dummy belt feed on it. You can check this out product out at Shoei Seisakusho Inc.
Bingo Airsoftworks just has too many projects to count and here's the latest one, turning a finely made airsoft MG42 from SHOEI to be powered by the PolarStar Airsoft Fusion Engine... "The Shoei MG-42 AEG is a relatively rare airsoft gun. It’s a high quality replica of the classic WWII German machine gun. Mike Alexander wanted to take his AEG powered MG-42 to the next level and so he sent it out to have a PolarStar Fusion Engine installed.
