Rubber Band Fun With Bandit Guns: Rubber Band Shotguns

OptimusPrime

I don't know about you guys, but I surely had fun when I was a kid playing with rubber… bands (you might be thinking of something else). We had some improvised guns where we shoot each other and or with just our fingers and just firing away until we get sore fingers or our mums calling us back for that afternoon snack.

Well, the fun is back again, whether you're eight or eighty. Some nasty rubber band guns are in circulation in Japan, but this U.S.-designed "Bandit Guns" brings back the naughty kids in us. It is a Kickstarter Project of Bob Coulston, and with a modest target of $5,000, it already got over 600 backers who have pledged almost $35,000 with 14 days to spare.

With an expected delivery before Christmas, Bandit Guns are actually Rubber Band Shotgun Kits made of 14 pieces of laser cut plywood. All you need are binding bolts to put the pieces together and no glue is needed. There are two versions of this: "The Outlaw" which has single shot and rapid fire modes; and "The Sheriff" which has single shot, rapid fire, and shotgun blast which means this one is the more fun rubber band shotgun of the two.

If going down the range or the airsoft field is not a possibility due to commitments at home or the weather, then you might just want to settle for this to take care of the itchy trigger finger. And if you have kids with you, then it might be fun to have some rubber band war in the living room.

If you want to pledge support to this project, better go now to the Bandit Guns: Rubber Band Shotgun Kickstarter Project and have your new weapon to use for the Holidays.
