Paper Shooters When You Want Carboard Warfare

Logan

Just started yesterday at Indiegogo.com is the Paper Shooters, a project that aims to build cardboard construction kits for those who want to build their own paper shooters. If successful, backers of this project and customers of Paper Shooters will get a Cardboard Rifle Construction Kit and once completed is a shell-ejecting shooter that fires paper bullets, hence the name "Paper Shooters."

This is perhaps a more high-tech version of our Paper Shooters when we were kids when use our ballpoint pens, take out the innards and use the ballpen shell as our shooter by blowing paper bullets through it. It was fun shooting at each in other in the classroom when the teacher wasn't around. For those who wanted something more painful, they upgraded to firing Mung beans.

The PAPER SHOOTERS™ Construction Kits are especially treated cardboard so you can build sturdy paper shooters as these shooters will have to withstand the inner workings of the mechanism that are required to fire the Paper Bullets up to 75 feet, though we do not know the velocity of the ammo when fired we would still recommend eye protection for anything that fires projectiles, paper or not.

To create the paper ammo, they provide a mold that you can make your paper bullet fit in the shells that will propel the paper bullet out. The kits you get to build are not semi or full auto, you get to fire each shell by using the charging handle to operate the spring mechanism to fire the paper bullets.

There are two types that can be built: the Avenger and the Tactician and four ammo/color designs: Aqua Ops, Zombie Slayer, Vandal, and Golden Touch. The first three are atUS$45.00 whilst the last one is a premium version at US$55.00.

The best thing about paper bullets as ammo for the Paper Shooters is that they are 100% biodegradable as compared to other ammos for recreational shooting. Even in airsoft, the biodegradability of the biodegradable BBs is still subject to intense debate.

The Paper Shooters crowdfunding campaign will end on by midnight of 27 October 2013 (PST). If you so want the Paper Shooter Construction Kit, make sure that it will reach production stage, but pledging funds to it. They have a goal of US$20,000.00 before they get into production. Failure to achieve the funding goal will mean it won't be available in the market unless an investor who has all the funds required would want to put money into it.
