North Korea's KPISF Shows Gun Safety Lessons

That title is like saying water and oil will mix if we are going to base the skills of the Korean People's Internal Security Forces (KPISF) on this video recently uploaded on YouTube. The KPISF is the North Korean Civil Defense Force a paramilitary force with a more command structure and ranking like the North Korean Army, and supposedly a bit more disciplined than the Worker-Peasant Guards. The latter was featured here showing their concealment techniques and weaponry to the entertainment of our readers.

Watch the KCNA (Korean Central News Agency) video which has the title "KPISF Men and Officers Vow to Annihilate War Maniacs" if translated into English shows a KPISF K-9 Unit undergoing some drills with their canines and some shooting exercises. The paper targets are the South Korean Defense Minister Kim Kwan-jin and a unknown US Soldier printed on them which seemed to inspire the troops and dogs to attack with gusto:

If you notice at 0:53 and for rest of the video, the KPISF officer vowing to defend the Dear Successor and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea from South Koreans and their imperialist masters if they try to invade their homeland. But the way he handles what seems like a Makarov, I wonder if the KCNA reporter and cameraman were quaking in fear during the interview with the thought of the Officer accidentally discharging his pistol at them or anyone in the range as he waves excitedly to show his patriotic fervor.

So far what we have seen in terms of the North Korean readiness to repel an invasion from the north are from two paramilitary organisations and not the regular units which will do most of the fighting in case hostilities break out again in the Korean Peninsula. I'm sure a good portion of you will be expecting further entertainment and bewilderment from these unpredictable North Koreans.

I don't know if there's a rule governing such unsafe handling of weapon in the KPISF manual, or if this officer has already been sent to the labor camp for being such an embarrassment to the DPRK for such. But if this is the standard among officers of the KPISF, there's not much for the South Koreans and their allies to worry about when they encounter these types of troops in case of war again. They're already a hazard to their own troops.
