The Tracer Tactical Enhanced - Modular Body Armor Vest (E-MBAV) is a lightweight, comfortable, and modular plate carrier, heavily inspired by the Crye Precision LV-MBAV. Its design allows for both covert and overt applications. The E-MBAV's plate bags are interchangeable with several other carriers, including Tracer Tactical's TIC/TAC/TOW line and the Spiritus LV-119. These plate bags feature two internal pockets, allowing users to combine ballistic plates with soft armor inserts. They are tapered to fit both Velocity Systems MBAV soft armor inserts and standard SAPI inserts, with Tracer Tactical partnering with TAC 11 Armor for specialized MBAV soft armor. Placard mounting tabs and a Velcro loop on the cummerbund's exterior ensure compatibility with various placards.

The E-MBAV offers two cummerbund styles, both echoing older Crye designs: a triple-band elastic and a JTAC radio/side armor compatible elastic cummerbund. The JTAC cummerbund, also sold separately, includes MOLLE radio pouches and side armor bags made from Tweave stretch woven fabric, replicating Crye's JTAC style while remaining removable. These side armor bags accommodate 6x6-inch hard plates and 6x9-inch soft armor inserts, with separate pouches to secure 6x6-inch plates centrally. This modularity allows users to customize the cummerbund to their specific preferences and mission requirements.
