Tip: How to Adjust your AEG's Motor

OptimusPrime

Another helpful video released by Fox Airsoft... "Have you ever pulled the trigger on your airsoft gun and it made a terrible winding sound? One of the most common gun problems or issues that we encounter here in our tech department is a gun malfunction that creates an absolutely terrible death sound that we equate to finger nails on a chalk board. It is the whine of improper motor depth. Motor whine comes from the gears of your motor not properly breeding with the gears in your gear box and it causes a whine (or the sound of a small cat being brutally murdered inside of your airsoft gun) and the motor depth needs to be set in order to reduce whine and get the best performance out of your gun.

We can adjust your motor depth here at the shop while you wait for no cost to you.

If you want to adjust it yourself (or at least attempt to learn), then this video is for you.

Depending on the type of gun that you have, you will either have a allen hex key or a flat head screw that you will need to screw in or out depending on the type of gun that you have.

They key to proper motor depth is to be patient and systematic turns on the depth screw."
