We eagerly await what the The Firearm Blog team has to report from the exhibit floor from the SHOT Show 2014 as they always have a keen eye to spot interesting stuff, nice photos to go with the story, and more details when you read their posts. And they didn'd disappoint, three of the blog posts from Day 1 may just attract your eyes to read furtheron.

Sig MPX Submachine Guns

The MPX is an extremely compact, magazine fed, selective fire SMG that fires from a closed bolt, and is extremely suppressor friendly (which seems to be the selling point). Of course the MPX has been spotted before in the hands of Sig employees and at shows like SHOT, but I figured I would give my impressions of the weapon system.

The MP5: Fifty Years of Awesome!

For me it is hard to believe that the MP5 has been around or 50 years, and remains the gold standard when it comes to sub guns!

OMC Ultimag “The Star”

The “Star” as I call it has five five round magazines arrayed around a central hub. The baseplate of each magazine allows each one to slide into a recess in the center hub. Well you get the idea. For those living in those states that have banned hi cap mags this just might be a very good solution.
