Latest event being organised by TA Events... "The Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict. Phoenix Rising II is to take place at Pippingford Park in East Sussex. The event focuses on the outbreak of war between the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic and Azerbaijan. Phoenix Rising II will centre the action on the Azerbaijan offensive in the central provinces of the Nargono-Karabakh Republic and the NKR Forces counter-offensive to win back lost territory.

NKR Forces have been caught out by a surprise attack on the eastern border of the republic and the Azerbaijan ground forces have been able to advance across the border against only pockets of resistance as most of NKR forces have been deployed to the north.

But the rugged terrain has slowed the Azerbaijan advance more then expected and Armenian airpower has managed to hamper the advance even further. These setbacks have enabled the republic to mobilise ground forces within the lost provinces to start launching counter-offensive actions whilst buying more time to setup fortified defences to prevent the advance gaining more territory.

The Frontline Action

To achieve advances in territory, key terrain features need to be captured and secured before any further advance can be made. Strategic targets will also be located within the region that will provide certain tactical advantages if captured or destroyed."
