Airsoft Lefty returns to the field at Khaos Airsoft to test out the Salvo Precision MCX Rattler V2. The footage captures a standard Team Deathmatch game where the primary goal is to successfully tag opponents while navigating a variety of obstacles. Despite some initial rustiness from a month-long break, the gameplay quickly intensifies as the team coordinates movements and exchanges fire with the opposing side.
The session took place in weather cold enough to give the equipment an identity crisis. Because temperatures dropped below freezing, the gas-powered replica occasionally failed to lock back its bolt when empty, leading to moments where the player was enthusiastically shooting nothing but air. While it looked like a valiant effort on camera, it turns out the magazines were simply too chilly to cooperate, providing a practical lesson in how gas expansion—or lack thereof—works in a winter wonderland.
Safety becomes a central theme after the player takes several direct hits to the face, including two rather unfortunate shots to the nose that left his eyes watering. Between the equipment malfunctions and the facial acupuncture, the video serves as a compelling advertisement for wearing full face protection. Despite the cold and the sting of plastic pellets, the new replica is deemed a success, and the day ends with a reminder that airsoft is much more enjoyable when your equipment actually has ammo in it.
