Sabre Airsoft introduces the VMP-2 Praxis bullpup kit, designed by Amethyst Artificery. This 3D-printed kit converts standard VMP-2 airsoft variants into a compact, bullpup-style designated marksman rifle (DMR). He explains that the design processes your original parts into a smaller footprint, keeping the internal mechanism intact while drastically altering the outward layout.
A key mechanical update in this version is the revised trigger system, which moves away from a direct push configuration to a smoother pull-and-pivot mechanism. It uses an integrated bar to actuate the original trigger via a replacement hammer pin hole. The kit also features a dedicated riser rail, an accommodation slot for high-pressure air (HPA) line routing along the bottom, and compatibility with standard mil-spec gas blowback grips without a beaver tail.
Installation is described as straightforward, needing only a few components from the base model like the upper receiver and trigger group. Because airsoft players are notoriously tough on their gear, the 3D-printed PLA-plus kit is backed by a lifetime warranty for free replacements. Sabre Airsoft notes the kit successfully relocates the fire selector to a spot where you will not accidentally bump it mid-game, creating a lightweight option for players seeking a short rifle build.
