Lincoln Gunsmith Studio RA-Tech/WE M14 EBR With Rare Genuine EBR Stock

Lincoln Gunsmith Studio shows a custom-built M14 EBR airsoft rifle that blends a discontinued genuine firearm chassis with high-end steel internal components. The gunsmith explains the intricate process of fitting authentic military parts—such as the flash hider, front sight, and gas block—onto a gas blowback platform. Apparently, matching the thread patterns between real-world hardware and toy replicas is about as easy as convincing a cat to take a bath, requiring custom machining just to get everything to sit tight.

A notable highlight is the visual character of the rifle, where different sections of the body sport slightly different shades of tan. While some might call this a lack of coordination, the gunsmith points out that even the genuine articles often come with this mismatched aesthetic. To ensure the whole thing doesn't rattle like a tin can full of marbles, the builder added custom tension screws and modified the internal guide rods to prevent parts from crashing into each other during operation.

The craftsman admits he usually prefers hacking away at the airsoft body rather than modifying rare, expensive real-world stocks, but since this one was already "pre-loved" by a previous owner, he went ahead with the adjustments. The result is a collector's piece that functions smoothly without needing an overpowered spring that would likely make the bolt move at the speed of a tired snail. It's a technical deep dive into making two different worlds of engineering play nice together.
