The Real Deal Airsoft compares the Modify Ceramic Bearings to the Stock Steel bearings of a VFC AEG... "Ceramic bearings vs Steel bearings, what's better? Why?

My stock VFC Bearings became dirty and gooked up, this caused a lot of wasted energy, causing the motor to work harder. The motor would get warm quicker than I would like.

This is not a high stress airsoft build. So i decided to try out the Ceramic Bearings by Modify. There is a huge difference as you can see for your self.

This allows the gears to cycle with very little resistance. The motor feels stronger and the AEG sounds snappier than ever! No squeaky noises!

Bushings are stronger than bearings when it comes to linear forces. So if you run a DSG, Pre cocking,  Short stroked gears / piston, above 400 FPS with .2s then i would recomend BUSHINGS for spur gear and even sector. Feel free to throw a ceramic on the bevel gear, its more of a rotational force, which is cool for bearings in high stress builds

For me I do not Pre-cock, I'm shooting 360 with .2 , full stroke of teeth and piston.... and my AEGs are super snappy."
