LCT Airsoft has announced that the initial production run of the LCT AK 2.0 (AK74M-2.0) is now available for interested resellers. This updated platform introduces several deviations from traditional AK AEG designs, focusing on dimensional accuracy, revised internals, and integrated electronics.
External Updates and Scale
The AK 2.0 series prioritizes realistic dimensions and finishes. Unlike previous generations, this model utilizes real-scale proportions, specifically regarding the trigger guard and receiver assembly.
- Surface Finish: The rifle features a low-reflection matte coating, authentic coloration on the rear sight, and realistic receiver rivet detailing.
- Physical Specs: The unit weighs 3.4 kg with a length of 943 mm (705 mm when folded).
- Structural Changes: The rear sight block is CNC-machined, and the stock butt-pad includes a slotted hole for sling loops.

Proprietary Internal System
A significant shift in this model is the introduction of the AK 2.0 proprietary internal system. Users should note that several core components are not compatible with standard Version 3 parts, including:
- Gearbox shell
- Cylinder and cylinder head
- Piston head and tappet plate
To compensate for the proprietary nature, the rifle comes pre-installed with upgraded hardware, such as a CNC aluminum nozzle, a MIM steel gear set, and a rotary-style hop-up unit paired with a chrome-plated inner barrel.
Electronics and Power
The AK 2.0 is powered by a 35,000 RPM high-efficiency brushless motor. The centerpiece of the fire control system is the built-in GATE ASTER II Bluetooth ETU. This allows operators to connect the rifle to mobile devices wirelessly for performance tuning and diagnostics.

Additionally, the external design facilitates maintenance via a quick spring change system, which is accessible simply by folding the buttstock, removing the need for a full gearbox teardown.
