Stupid Airsoft embarks on a mission to transform a Double Eagle Noveske N4 gas blowback rifle into a futuristic space gun using a Hera Arms CQR Gen 2 stock. Fed up with standard, cookie-cutter AR builds, he decides that a radical German-designed stock is the cure for his boredom. The process begins with a casual disassembly, where he manages to avoid losing small springs and detents—mostly through sheer luck and a very tiny rubber butt pad.
The real drama unfolds when he realises that his rifle's metric threads aren't compatible with the real-steel buffer tube required for the new stock. In a moment of high-stakes DIY, he breaks out a metal tap to re-thread the receiver by hand. Whilst Stupid Airsoft admits to feeling like he might lose his lunch from the stress of potentially ruining the gun, the operation is a success. He triumphantly notes that the atrocious news is that it actually worked perfectly, allowing the new parts to screw on without a hitch.
The final assembly involves a puzzle-like process of connecting the grip and stock sections with various Allen bolts and nuts. Despite the risk of cracking the plastic or losing more specialized pins, the rifle comes together to look like something straight out of a sci-fi movie. He is clearly delighted with the result, even if he suspects some viewers might find his creation a bit evil. He ends by admiring the abundance of sling mounts and planning even more ridiculous upgrades for the future.
