Another blast from the past as Hyperdouraku features the JAC Battle Master... "1985 - A revolution hit the airsoft world with the dawn of the new year. JAC released the Battle Master, the world's first fully automatic gas gun that fired BBs using gas. Equipped with a BV (Bullet Valve) fully automatic unit developed by Asahi Firearms, it used CFC-12, a refrigerant gas commonly used in spray cans at the time, as its power source. Its appearance was like that of a futuristic weapon.

At the time, the mainstays of airsoft guns were either cartridge-type cocking airsoft guns that used 6mm BB bullets or the newly released caseless airsoft guns. The Battle Master's ability to fire furious, full-auto bursts of fire with just the pull of the trigger was a huge shock, stunning users and the industry alike. Some even expressed concerns about using compressed gas to fire bullets.

However, despite these concerns, the Battle Master was a huge hit. With repeated improvements, second and third models were released, and eventually popular models such as the M16 were added, making it an essential standard weapon in airsoft games."
