Gamma AT-4 Launcher In Stock At RedWolf

OptimusPrime

It seems that the AT4 is becoming the launcher of the year as it's our third time to write about a product for airsoft use. This one's available at RedWolf Airsoft for US$466.00... "The real AT4 (also variously AT-4, AT4 CS, AT4-CS, AT-4CS, M136) is an 84-mm unguided man portable single-shot recoilless smoothbore weapon. The designation "CS" represents "confined space" referring to the propellant charge being designed to operate effectively within buildings in an urban environment. It is a single shot launcher that is discarded after use. it is designed as a force multiplier to allow troops to engage armored vehicles and fortified structures.

Interestingly enough, the real one is made from a fiberglass tube making it light and while this replica is much lighter then the real thing the point is that its lighter-than-metal feel is a lot closer to the real one then you might think.

For realism, you should probably be using a 40mm grenade that launches a single large projectile instead of a shower as this is suppose to replicate an anti armor/fortification weapon and not an anti-personnel weapon. This Gamma recreation is a 40mm MOSCART grenade launcher; it utilizes a removable inner tube that can accommodate any length of 40mm Airsoft grenade. The layout and handling is almost identical to the real thing. While it comes with no manual, its controls and markings are fairly self explanatory.

If you are confused as to how to use it, start with putting the larger flared end behind you and the smaller end in front of you to get it pointing in the right direction. Placing in on your right shoulder, be sure to rotate it such that the fold-out shoulder stop is braced in front of your shoulder with the fabric strap acting as a pad.

Your left hand goes on the rectangular bulge as a grip, your right goes on top with your index and middle finger position on the red flip tab safety button with your right thumb on the red nub ended trigger button on top. The safety/cocking arm has its instructions written on it; it will need to be cocked prior to shooting. The left hand grip slides forward, the cowling revealing the flip-up sight.

Just shy of 3kg, the average Airsofter who is not built like a US Marine should be able to shoulder carry this no problem. The real thing blast the front cap off during shooting but do be sure to remove the front cap plate before you do unless you want to turn your launcher into a giant maraca.

While not that heavy, please note that the product is quite large and as such the shipping weight is dimensionally calculated at 10kg / 21lbs."
