One of the Flecktarn's August new items is the DPM Webtex MLCE Modular Vest..."The Webtex MLCE modular vest is a new concept in modular design in British DPM. The vest is designed to take MOLLE pouches and accessories with ease, yet still be able to carry traditional PLCE belt pouches easily. It does this by coupling a layer of 25mm MOLLE PALS webbing with 50mm wide webbing.

MOLLE pouches are adaptable to PALS webbing in 25mm intervals, and the PLCE pouches are adapted to the British 50mm wide PLCE belt. With both layers of webbing working together, the system is designed to take both types of pouches. The MOLLE webbing is mounted over the entire surface of the front left and right of the vest on a layer of tough PU coated Cordura.

Additional MOLLE webbing is provided on left and right shoulders. The rear of the vest is fitted with a long Cordura pocket for carrying a 3 litre hydration bladder, overlaid with MOLLE webbing in the same formation as on the front. The vest is adjustable over the each shoulder with a twin ladderlock type plastic slider and velcro. It adjusts in the rear via two straps on lower left and lower right which are also fitted through ladderlock type plastic sliders. The entire vest is mounted on a nylon mesh base which aids ventilation and provides a flexible layer to adapt to body movement.

Additional features include carrying handle, left and right D-rings on upper chest for carabiners and other accessories, internal zip-up dump pockets, holster in left hand side internal dump pocket, 50mm wide rectangular D-rings on bottom left and right sides of the vest for attaching dump pouches and drop leg holsters, extra 50mm belt on inside of vest for stability. The vest closes with two internal quick release buckles at torso level, central chunky zip and chest quick release buckle. Matches with Webtex MLCE modular pouches and accessories."
