Classic Firearms talk about the FN SCAR H (SCAR 17), chambered in 308 or 7.62x51, developed in response to a 2004 U.S. Special Operations Command request for a new combat rifle. The SCAR H performed well for the military, apart from some optic issues. This model features a 16-inch barrel, a three-chamber brake, a non-reciprocating ambidextrous charging handle, and a telescoping Ugg boot stock that folds for transport. While its operating system is reliable, it can be harsh on certain optics.
