Chinese Type 56 SKS Real Steel Review

OptimusPrime

Airsoft Community Italy came out with a real steel review, with Etabeta reviewing the Chinese version of the Soviet SKS Carbine... "After the initial 'shock' due to the age of the weapon I tried to give an assessment as objective as possible, which was not influenced by age or origin of the rifle, whereas I belong to a generation that has never used the Garand. The Type-56 is a semi automatic rifle, slightly longer of the AK-47 (which can be considered a bit 'nerdy cousin') and lighter.

Despite the absence of vertical grips, which are used, the weapon is very easy to handle, even in limited space, such as inside vehicles. The grip is firm and comfortable and the box size, which, for me it's very positive, as it certainly is not prominent in height. Cocking rod is not very ergonomic, but the knurling on the end of the knob makes it easy to grip and the retraction even with sweaty hands.

The rear sight is dovetailed, get up with a compass system, with an optimistic and visionary grading up to 1000 meters, while the front sight blade is embedded in a protective circle. The acquisition of the target appears to be difficult, since both the sights are very thin and do not allow an absolutely instinctive shooting."
