Airsoft Craving's APS ASK204P EBB Review

Airsoft Craving checks out the ASK204P EBB airsoft rifle borrowed from a friend. Whilst usually a fan of gas-powered gear, the host explores this battery-operated alternative as a more practical option for colder weather. The rifle is noted for being quite heavy, which apparently adds to the realism, though the box it comes in is mostly filled with air, a cleaning rod, and a QR code that serves as the manual—modern technology's way of telling you to figure it out yourself.

The rifle features a retractable stock, a metal trigger guard, and a standard AK-style magazine release. It includes a 300-round magazine, but he warns that the hop-up adjustment can be a bit of a puzzle. Interestingly, the rifle seems to have a personality of its own; a light trigger pull results in a "limp" shot, requiring a firm squeeze to get the BBs to actually fly. Getting the battery into its housing also proves to be a delicate operation that requires more patience than one might expect from a plastic toy.

After dressing the rifle up with a foregrip and a scope, the host gives it a test fire, noting its surprisingly loud operation. While the ASK 204P is presented as a solid choice for those on a budget, Airsoft Craving remains loyal to his gas blowback roots.
