Aderonn Airsoft S&T Tavor Airsoft Review

OptimusPrime

Latest review from Aderron Airsoft... "Of all recent airsoft guns released from clone companies, the S&T Tavor-21 has probably received the most crap from internet haters; but I'm going to have to go against the grain and say it's not that bad. It does have a polymer gearbox shell, which is a bit unconventional, but not unheard of. Companies like ARES and STAR have been known to use plastic gearboxes without any catastrophic issues. As long as you don't push this gun to the limits in terms of rate of fire or feet per second, you won't encounter any issues. It does feature normal metal internals like any other clone AEG, and performs as you would expect a clone to perform. The gun fires between 315 and 330 feet per second at 10 rounds per second on an 8.4v (or 14rps on a 9.6v), and can engage a man sized target at 120 feet. The externals, although nearly all plastic, aren't craptastic either. The very rear of the gun does a little bit of flexing and creaking when you squeeze it, and the flip up sites feel cheap, but other those are my only main concerns. Both of which can be easily overlooked or fixed. Simply stick an optic on the top rail and a block of foam in the stock and viola, problem solved.

Yes, a Combat machine or some other lower priced AEG would probably be a better choice for a practical first gun. But for $150 to $180 (depending on where you buy it), I say the gun is worth the money if your little heart is absolutely set on having a Tavor-21. No one is going to stop you from buying it, and it will definitely get attention for being a unique gun."
