6mm Badger features a 3D-printed airsoft grenade that is cheap per throw... "In this video, I showcase a fully 3D-printed airsoft grenade that could save you serious money on the field — the Thunderstrike V2 by Isotac Airsoft.
After seeing some of my 3D printing content, the team at Isotac reached out and asked if I’d like to try printing their latest design, a reusable, impact-activated airsoft grenade that uses bang snap caps instead of CO2 or gas. They sent me the STL files, the required hardware (a couple of springs and a screw), and I went to work.
What I cover in the video:
- Full assembly and build process
- Materials used and how much filament it takes
- How the impact trigger mechanism works
- Live function demo at the end of the video
- My honest thoughts and feedback for Isotac
Why this is a game-changer:
- 30 cents per throw (using standard 'mega snap' bang caps)
- Reprintable parts — if you break it, just print a new one
- No gas or CO2 needed
- Super lightweight & compact — fits easily on a rig
- STL file only costs €12.90 (~$15) and you can print as many as you want
Whether you’re into airsoft, milsim, 3D printing, or just love DIY gear builds — this is a clever, cost-effective tool that’s worth checking out."
