Thankfully, like most airsoft, the Defender shell does not fire at such as high velocity that it would cause serious injury or potential death.  And unlike traditional plastic BBs, the 10mm balls can be reused without damaging the launcher they were fired from - saving you money if you don't mind collecting them.  Take a look at the size of the bores on this thing.  And below is the 8mm high powered version of the new M781."
