Yesterday, Česká Zbrojovka (CZ) has unveiled the CZ BREN 3, marking the latest evolution of its highly regarded assault rifle series. The BREN lineage, already embraced by military forces worldwide—including France's elite GIGN counter-terrorism squad—continues its legacy with this new offering.

The CZ BREN 3 emerges as a paragon of innovation with its modular construction that emphasizes precision, enduring resilience, ergonomic handling, and consistent dependability. Adhering to the rigorous NATO AC/225 D/14 standards, this weapon promises impeccable performance across the most unforgiving terrains, from the intense heat of desert battlefields to the bitter cold of arctic fronts.

The BREN 3's design integrates a polymer lower receiver with an aluminum upper receiver, maintaining the indirect impingement system featuring a short-stroke gas piston and a multi-lug rotating bolt from its predecessors. A notable enhancement is the easily accessible, tool-free adjustable three-position gas block situated within the handguard.

Available in two prevalent calibers—5.56 x 45 NATO and .300 AAC Blackout—the CZ BREN 3 offers varied barrel lengths tailored to operational requirements. The 5.56 NATO variant provides barrel lengths of 7", 11", 14.5", and 16.5", while the .300 Blackout is available in 7" and 9" options. All barrels undergo cold hammer forging for unparalleled accuracy and are fortified with chrome lining. The inclusion of a three-position gas port regulator facilitates precise adjustments for suppressed fire or adverse conditions.

The CZ BREN 3 features ambidextrous controls that mirror the familiar AR-style configuration. This encompasses a 45° selector switch for operational modes, magazine release, and bolt catch/release on both sides of the receiver and within the trigger guard. The non-reciprocating charging handle is present on both sides of the firearm, offering a fixed handle on one side and a folding design on the other, catering to user preference.

Standard with the CZ BREN 3 is a collapsible, four-position telescopic stock constructed from durable polymer. An alternative PDW-style stock is also available. The rifle's high modularity shines through its replaceable extended forend made from sturdy aluminum alloy, featuring an M-LOK interface for accessory attachments and options for STANAG 4694 or suppressor-ready forends. Seven QD attachment points distributed across the rifle afford extensive sling mounting capabilities.
