New Battlefield 4 Video Shows Frost Bite 3's "Seamless Reality"

Logan

The Frostbite Engine has afforded game developers at EA and DICE to creative massive virtual worlds to put their game stories in. In the third version of the Frostbite Engine, what has been creative is "Seamless Reality" as demonstrated in the Battlefield 4's recently released video which shows another level of realism in the development of video games nowadays.

Though you might get annoyed by their terms which could have been generated by an automatic bullcrap generator, the developers are betting on the Frost Bite 3 game engine to create what should be the most immersive Battlefield title to date, provided that they meet the 29 October release date.

So what's the "Seamless Reality" all about? It's basically those little details that are sometimes overlooked in production, even in film making, and with the Frostbite Engine, those little details have a life of their own ---- tree branches swaying, water not flat, debris floating, and vibrations and shocks in the immediate environment the FPS player when destructions and explosions happen. "Seamless Reality" tries to give a feel of battlefield whether there is a firefight ongoing or not. What is just lacking with the engine is the smell of smoke and cordite amids the burning ships, exploding tanks, and crashing helicopters.

Another breathtaking feature of the engine in Battlefield 4 are the sea battles which are now more epic as compared to the previous titles. And the firefights in the "Angry Sea" single player campaign level which was shown during E3  just shows some massive improvement and the immersive environment the player is in.  Now imagine having a firefight in  a sinking aircraft carrier with F-18 Hornets just sliding past you with their wings ready to sweep you to the sea?

Now the question is, especially for the PC games is how much resources should they put more in order to fully exploit the rendering of graphics by their GPUs  of the Frostbite 3 Engine? But then, if such massive improvements in game engines are to continue, expect highly improved levels of interactivity and gaming experience.

We're looking forward to some behind the scenes video of the loadouts and weapons computer rendering just like they did in the MOH: Warfighter  game. That’s what many airsoft players want to know from the game.
