Modern War Gear Solid Series End, But It's Not Over

Logan

We have enjoyed immensely the Modern War Gear Solid Series by indie filmmaker Beat Down Boogie. Not exactly a Hollywood Blockbuster, but for the budget and equipment they used in making the series, they do deserve all the kudos they can get, and perhaps some praises can also go to members of the airsoft community who volunteered as part of the cast, such as Tim Ellwood of No Airsoft for Old Men Blog.

Sad to say, the series ends at Episode 5 where eventually they vanquished Kotick-ovitch using plasma swords, which were more like Jedi light sabers, and cardboard missiles. Master Chief/Master Card avoids death when he got kitted with a cardboard suit from Snake.

But's not over yet folks.

The plan now of Beat Down Boogie is to put together all the episodes into a single DVD, and with added scenes and improvements on the effects to turn it into a full blown movie. As they have launched the DVD project during their Mustache Party last 01 July, we're just awaiting word when they will be releasing the DVD edition.

The best thing to do is support these guys when the DVD gets released, as funding for indie films is nowhere near Hollywood budgets. Their budgets are a pittance and rely on good will and volunteers. While some of their projects are nowhere near as massive as the Modern War Gear Solid, we look forward to other projects they will release online... especially if these involve the airsoft community.

For those who missed the last episode, you can view the video here and you can also click on the links to preview the previous episodes. Extra videos are the making of the series and blooper scenes right below Episode 5.

Support the DVD folks and looking forward to even better projects from Beat Down Boogie.
