Beat Down Boogie really went for it, creating a DVD version of Modern War Gear Solid and it's now on pre-order for US$15.00 for US buyers and US$18.00 for international orders which already includes shipping. If you want the DVD and Modern War Gear Solid Shirt Combo, it's US$37.00 with shipping.

Apart from the main characters, some members of the airsoft community had roles to play to help this project brought to completion (find Tim Ellwood of No Airsoft for Old Men there).

For those who have been following the work of Beat Down Boogie and order the DVD, the disc will also contain deleted scenes, parodies, and other videos which you may have already seen in Beat Down Boogie's YouTube. Ordering the DVD would greatly help the group as they're an indie film making outfit and would be used in funding their other projects.

To this date, Modern War Gear Solid Episode 1 has generated over 1 million views, with the rest of the episodes slowly building up their numbers. These are impressive numbers indeed, especially for an indie film with some corny scenes. The YouTube route was an excellent way for these guys to have their movie shown without spending on marketing and distribution, which would be a daunting task for any indie film outfit just trying to have some theatres show it, even if on a limited screening. Though, the numbers are a lot, we cannot say if these have earned them some money as it looks like that the videos do not have some advertising inserted by Google.

So if you want to further support these guys to do even better projects, or you want them to continue with sequels of Modern War Gear Solid, voting with your money would spur them to make them, rather than just emailing them to motivate them, as those won't be enough to fund the project. Buying the DVD would help a lot.
