Just For Kicks: The 600 Round Assault Clip

Gungho Cowboy

It was a slow weekend for us as we wait for reports from our correspondents what they did over the weekend whilst for some of us, it's more of taking the opportunity of basking under the summer sun with friends and family, barbeques, picnics, or hitting the beach. Some of us perhaps just decided to surf the web in search of something unusual or crazy to share to us.

This is the case of Ravishing Rick Dude, an avid reader who always sends us some interesting links. In this case, he sent in a link, which we assume has gotten the lead from Military.com's Kit-Up! Blog as they also posted this link at their blog. It's about a Glock user with the Mattv2099 Channel on YouTube who goes through lengths to testing the Glock Pistol (mostly Glock 17s) to extremes. He also has other firearm videos at his Channel but mainly it's about Glocks.

So what's the crazy thing he did you ask? Well, he strung together 20 30-round Glock pistol magazines to make what he calls a "600 Round Assault Clip." He didn't show how put these magazines together to put together a single and very long magazine to use but these are all taped. Will he be able to fire the rounds continuously? In the video, it shows he can, gangsta style:

He probably had a sore finger firing all those rounds if indeed he was able to string together the magazine though a viewer with a sharp eye say that the portion of the video is looped. If you watch closely the  showing the front and back of the shooter to give you an illusion of continuous shooting but the body movements are the same until he gets to "the end"of the magazine (and don't count the gunshot sound as you won't be able to reach 600). It just makes us wonder if someone in airsoft does the same with long magazines. Perhaps for a 20 long Glock magazines, it'll take 1,000 rounds to shoot the 50-round Marui ones. But then it looks like an impossible task to string gas magazines together unless one wants to follow Mattv2099's trick.
