Logan

When I thought we have gotten over zombie-related stories after Halloween, but I was wrong as there will be more zombie features on this website this week. The features will be interesting because it features two celebrities, and I'll be writing about the bigger celebrity first: Brad Pitt. I am sure that most of you already have heard about his latest movie project that will involve zombies in "World War Z."

Zombies are defined in the "Zombie Survival Guide" to be slow-moving undead which are not capable of cooperating, being mindless creatures just bent on consuming live human flesh. However the trailer shows fast moving zombies that seem to do cooperative attacks and the hordes show them to be moving like packs of fast moving predator animals. The CG zombies remind me of the Zerg swarms in the Star Craft video game.

But what thing that this movie should attract airsoft players, apart from the zombies, are the hardware and gear that will be used in the movie given that it is a "war". Lots of guns and ammo to be used in mowing down zombies and only those who have more than enough ammo to repel such horde attacks, or fast enough to run away from them survive.

The details about the movie are still sparse with most of the write-ups about the movie being billed with Brad Pitt, which should attract a good number of movie goers. But for story itself, a good number of movie writers have been prepping us not to expect it to be faithful to the book with Max Brooks himself saying that he has no creative input in making the movie or even a semblance control. It is indeed that it's tough adapting a best seller book for movies and most of the time those who have read the book first will get disappointed with the movie. In the case of World War Z, with its already big budget, if the it is successful upon its official release next year, it will become a trilogy.

That means we may expect around three big-budget zombie movies in the span of 3 to 6 years if it happens and we hope that this movie will be one of the finer zombie movies ever made.
