The INFORCE Multifunction Weapon Mounted Light

Logan

We have been meaning to post about this new product from INFORCE for some days now, but the listing of feature stories just only allowed us to post this today. Dom has written about INFORCE as a good provider of alternative tactical lighting systems before, and they can be had at entry level prices. The INFORCE Weapon Mounted Light (WML) is the company's first foray in providing a ready-to-mount weapons light in this regard.

The INFORCE WML is a streamlined, compact, easy to moount weapons light that is made of fiber-reinforced polymer and has an output for 125 Lumens for its white kight and the IR has an output of 850nm. Only white light and IR outputs are available and we do not know if INFORCE plans to add red and blue further on. But since weapons lighting need the penetrating white light and IR for IFF, these two would more than suffice. However, some sectors say that 125 Lumens is a little bit underwhelming, but since we haven't tested it yet, we cannot say something definitive about its brightness.

What is easily noticeable about the INFORCE WML is its ergonomics with the pressure switch at an angle designed for easier access when needing to adjust the lighting from constant, high to low, low to high, and  strobe disable. The immediate benefit of this switch is it eliminates the need to have wired or taped pressure switches and it can accommodate your shooting style without the hassle of where to find the pressure switch when it matters in the dark.

Whether you are using a vertical foregrip or not, a left-handed or right-handed shooter, the INFORCE WML can be easily accessed. Keeping operations simple makes learning how to use the INFORCE WML a cinch. Though there are questions from sectors that such design of the pressure switch may make accidental push from the two light modes. However, there's a flip-up switch included in the design that would prevent an accidental activation of the button.

It is an interesting product, and one that we are looking forward to test. The suggested retail price is US$175.00, which is indeed a cheaper weapon mounted light in the market nowadays. A review by Special Circumstances Inc. is an interesting read which we suggest that you go and check. Here's a video portion of the review.
