Hyperdouraku At The 73rd Victory Show Japan

OptimusPrime

Hyperdouraku was at the 73rd Victory Show Japan which took place last 29 June 2014 at the Hamamatsucho Hall, Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Trade Center. The Victory Show Japan is a militaria sales event that happens thrice a year and usually takes place during the Spring, Summer, and Fall Seasons. Many hobbyists, airsoft players, collectors, and reenactors converge here to check all the products on sale, new and old.

The first thing that he mentioned was about the custom airsoft support weapons from G. Company.  On display were Blowback SAWs from the company that are based on the LCT, A&K, and VFC M60 versions.  Itsuya, as shown above, was delighted holding one of the custom support weapons, and the intense blowback action sounded attractive for the show visitors.

For classic collectors, they might want to take a look at some of the models from Hartford Model Guns where they had on display at the event, the M60 Gambler's Revolver Model, the Winchester M73 Winchester, and the Colt SAA 45 Sheriff's Model. For a more contemporary airsoft pistol, Yas spotted a Detonics 45 from Craft Apple Works (CAW).

For those looking bits and bobs, there are a lot stuff to be bought at the Victory Show, apart from the usual airsoft guns. Military apparel are also in stock with some nicel prints on many of the shirts. Japan also has a tight-knit community of Model Gun Cap enthusiasts and designers, that they have a T-Shirt for them called the M.G. Cap and available in different sizes and  colours. As always, contemporary camouflage patterns such as A-TACS and Multicam are also available in different types of tactical clothing to purchase.

The Bug-A-Salt which is a salt-spraying death bringer to flies in the kitchen which got its success from crowdfunding from Indiegogo has reached the shores of Japan and was on display at the event. Also interesting is the mapping app that can be installed on mobile devices that can be used in airsoft games.

What makes the Victory Show Japan a successful thrice-a-year affair in Japan is the ability of visitors to be able to buy the stuff that they have been looking for as compared to trade events such as the Shizuoka Hobby Show where they can't purchase what are on display and are more business to business affairs.  It's a buzzling militaria market where one can buy new and used products, and even find some classic stuff. For airsoft players, it might be that hard-to-find airsoft gun or parts, or even that antique (in airsoft years) classic airsoft gun.

You can still read more about the Hyperdouraku report here and you can also see more photos. Now on to the 74th Victory Show on the 23rd of September 2014.
