Gungho Cowboy

Fans of Microsoft's best FPS video game title, Halo, may not just believe the news, but it is indeed true. The Live Action Halo 4 Forward Unto Dawn Webseries have gotten a nomination for the 65th Emmy Awards. Whilst many of you would wonder if it’s the action, the director, writing, or production, the webseries was nominated for the "Outstanding Main Title Design 2013" award.  It's actually in good company as its fellow nominees in this category are shows that we fervently watch: The Newsroom, Vikings, Elementary, Da Vinci's Demons, and American Horror Story: Asylum.

It is a first for a webseries that is based on the video game title, but the internet only show House of Cards is the biggest series amongst the titles being stream online to be nominated for the Best Drama Series.

I believe that I don't have to explain much what Halo 4 Forward Unto Dawn to our readers as it's one of the most watched webseries in the internet and the video game is also very popular amongst airsoft players. Whilst it is nominated for a category that's not talked about in the press, nevertheless, if it wins such category, it is still an Emmy. Not bad for Microsoft's US$10 million budget to put a webseries for the marketing of Halo 4.

Best really is to watch the series all over again under this sizzling hot summer weekend. The rest of the Popular Airsoft team are out covering some events that they will be reporting about next week.
