Get Your Rifle Steady With The MagPod

OptimusPrime

Minimising the number of attachments to your rifle is always a thing for us since the lesser the weight, the better to carry your rifle. With all the stuff that we mount on our rifles, especially the essentials such as optics, the balance of our rifles also gets affected that we tend to add a bipod to stabilise shooting whilst prone, but it also adds another weight to the rifle.

Enter the MagPod, designed to help stabilise your rifle especially when you need to rest the rifle on its magazine whilst shooting. Though it's mainly designed for the Magpul PMAG, it can be easily installed, replacing the floorplate and becomes a monopod for the rifle. No need for a bipod or foregrip with a pod included so no extra weight as this almost like having a ranger plate, which means it's also to pull the magazine out of mag pouches for faster reloads and protects the bottom of the magazine too.

What we like about the MagPod here at Popular Airsoft is for publishing purposes, able to take photos of an AR rifle on various surfaces without those display stands and you'll have the rifle free standing and no need to photoshop out the base of the display stand. So apart from its tactical benefits, it's got some creative purposes too.

I would like to have an airsoft version, as soon as the makers of the MagPod are able to finally release their production version as for now it's still a prototype with some kinks that may need to be ironed out as reported by Gearscout. But if you cannot wait for an airsoft version, gas blowback users who are equipped with the G&P Gas PMAG may be able to install this. AEG users may have a problem with this since winding magazines is usually done at the bottom, and those who are using the Lonex-types where you wind the magazine by opening the bottom and pulling a string for a quick long pull, this would be useless.

But if you are a low-midcap user, then you might be able to use the MagPod, provided it can fit the Magpul PTS AEG magazine when an airsoft version is made.

No details and pricing on the product at the MagPod website. You can watch a video below and if you want immediate updates, you can follow the MagPod crew at their Facebook page.
