Connecticut Town Approves Airsoft Indoor Site

Gungho Cowboy

This should have been relegated to the Latest News Section, but poring over the comment section, the story is not just about an approved indoor airsoft site. Though there's the usual exchange about promoting violence to kids in the state, some of the significant look beyond the usual gun violence debate, and see it as something that would be very helpful to the local economy.

248,000 Disgruntled Players and Counting...

Logan

During this cold weather season, and perhaps in between airsoft weekend games, many airsoft players would content themselves with FPS video games. In this case, I assume that many nowadays are hooked with the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 game (COD MW2), which is the blockbuster video game release for 2009, and is much going strong for this year.

Pinoy Airsoft Evolution 6 - Jing Gong A47 Tactical

Gungho Cowboy

Pinoy Airsoft folks sent us their latest video review, which they say was about three years in the making, so this should be a solid review of this AEG given that long time frame. A very well done video review made by these guys, so better watch the video below. Optimus Prime had one of this, and he had a butt stock problem where the cover always falls off. Performance was so-so, and yeah, he hates putting tape over the rear end.

We all know the Virginia Tech shootings that happened on the 16th of April 2009 in which 32 died, including the gunman and injuring 25 more, making it the deadliest campus attack done by a single perpretator in the history of the US. FAIL! All for just an Xbox 360

OptimusPrime

And they are just getting younger. We have heard about adults using airsoft guns to commit armed robberies or intimidating people. But this one will just shake our heads as we have gone into the minds of these teenagers, one who is 11 years old, and the rest 15-year olds to rob a gas station with an airsoft pistol just to buy an XBox 360. Yeah, yeah, we know times are tough, but an Xbox 360 won't just bring food to the table.

Attempt to exempt Airsoft from the Philippine Election Gun Ban

Gungho Cowboy

With the total gun ban implemented for the national elections in the Philippines. Many airsoft players are left with just being stuck to 1 or 2 sites where they are allowed to store their airsoft guns and play there while they sit it out until the mid of June 2010 for the gun ban to expire. However, this does not deter them from petitioning the country's Supreme Court to exempt airsoft from the gun ban.

FBI grace the Shot Show 2010 (with arrest warrants)

Gungho Cowboy

The mainstream media (MSM) rarely gives much coverage of the Shot Shows, but this time they were there as the Shot Show 2010 was unfortunately highlighted by arrests of executives from the arms industry for violation of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act as they were stung by an FBI Operation in which FBI agents made a fictitious story acting as arms brokers for an African government seeking to purchase arms at US$15 million with an intention to pocket some money (at 20%) for the deal to push through.

Getting more from the 2010 Shot Show

Gungho Cowboy

For those who have been unfortunate not to go the Shot Show 2010 in Las Vegas, Nevada due to time or cost constraints, you can always get more information while not being their physically. While airsoft vendors are posting news and announcements here and other airsoft sites, we're sure that you're also waiting for some news from the non-airsoft retailers (yet). Wonder what new stuff from the military industry has to offer? Then this is the place to be, and just hope some of these new stuff would have a replica for airsoft use soon.

Logan

Tokyo Marui is exploiting its blowback and recoil engine technology to the fullest, releasing new models and not content on just relying on its AK and M4 lineup. What it has found for itself is an open market where it has no peer, not even one its of closest competitors has come closest to the new playing experience that its technology can provide. With their new product releases, they have left others in the dust.

ACR Legal Skirmish starts with Robinson Arms suing Remington, Bushmaster, RRA, and Magpul

Gungho Cowboy

Dom has been suspicious on the developments of the Adaptive Combat Rifle (ACR) which is hoped to be presented to the admiring masses during the Shot Show 2010. This has been discussed between him and Optimus Prime as he is keenly monitoring the real steel side of things. It seems that he is right with Robinson Arms suing Remington, Magpul, et al on a patent infringement case.
