Delta Force Operators Find Themselves In The American Civil War

Gungho Cowboy

What will you do as a 21st Century Tier 1 Operator, when you and your teammates find yourselves in the middle of the bloodiest war in U.S. History? Will you help one of the armies and can you find your way back home in your own timeline? Panteao Productions will tackle that story in their sci-fi film project called "Alexander's Bridge" which they are now working to raise funds via crowdfunding at Indiegogo.com.

The concept first started in mid-1990s but never got to production as there were other projects to be done. The idea was then further discussed in 2012 whilst they were filming US Delta Operator Paul Howe where the crew were open to the idea of starting production. Thus, Alexander's Bridge will be a dream come true for Panteao Production's CEO, Fernando Coelho, as it is his original story; if it will reach its funding goal of US$550,000 which they hope will be funded by fans and those who like the project. Screenplay is written by him with Scot Spooner, and John Spears.

The story is about US Delta Operators who were testing equipment in a training mission but were then accidentally sent back in time. They find themselves in the middle of the Battle of Chickamauga in 1863, during the American Civil War, where 120,000 troops from the Federal and Confederate Armies have massed together. They had to get cooperation from a small group of  Federal soldiers and try to save lives.

Will they be able to change the course of history or should they avoid influencing at all costs not to and let history happen just as written in their history books? We won't  know how this will come out, Panteao Productions has a tall order of raising the funds first with 44 days to go as of this writing.

It is interesting as this reminds me of a 1981 Japanese movie which has the same background. Called "Time Slip" JSDF forces find themselves in the Sengoku Period or otherwise called the "Warring States Period" which went on from the 15th to the 17th Century. In this movie, their leader found this an opportunity to be the ruler of Japan with their more modern technology going against the samurais.

Interested in seeing this film? If you do, then better go to Indiegogo and make a pledge so this film will move forward and achieve its funding goals. They want you to share the project page via social media so that it will get more exposure and support. Better read the full project details as it has a lot of industry support and extensive information on how the project will be produced.

Hopefully, this gets funded, we are curious on how to story will turn out to be.
