Changes Happening Fast At Concern Kalashnikov

Logan

A lot of things are happening to the company that Mikhail Kalashnikov works for,  which now not only makes the rifles that are named after him,  but actually carries his name. Concern Kalashnikov proudly bears the name of the man which made the company famous, and the products even more as they have become iconic in human history and human warfare.

As reported here before, Kalashnikov has given the State-Owned company the rights to use his name at no cost. While at not costs, the priceless thing is that his name is now etched in perpetuity, if the Concern Kalashnikov will be managed properly over the ages. To further cement his name and legend, the logo of the company now gets the 21st Century treatment, as the brand shows exactly his name now as shown in the image below:

Now that I have mentioned that Concern Kalashnikov is State-Owned, meaning that the Russian government owns the company, just recently, that ownership became smaller, as the government is selling off 49% percent of the company to private investors, making their ownership barely an absolute majority. Concern Kalashnikov is already showing some degree of profitability due to export sales mainly to U.S. private gun users. Included in this sale are other related industries which supply parts and ammunition to the firearms industry according to the New York Times.

As to the names of the private investors Aleksei Krivoruchko who owns the trains linking the Capital City, Moscow to the various airports around it, and Mining Magnate  in Siberia, Andrei Bokarev.

And to the product area of Concern Kalashnikov, especially the AK-12 which is the new product that may help revitalize sales further for the company if the Russian military totally adopts the rifle. According to the Firearm Blog,  the Russian Military has not officially adopted the rifle, contrary to the claims of the company, as they refuse to test rifle further if certain fixes are done.

With all of these news, there is something  that the airsoft community are looking forward to: updates on the company's airsoft plans for the airsoft market. We all know that efforts in the airsoft market by Concern Kalashnikov are being made to increase revenue areas for the company. But in light of recent events, the airsoft venture seems to have stopped as we haven't heard further news on this. If our friends in the Russian airsoft community have  news about this, they can drop us a note anytime to give us an update.
