Call of Duty: Ghosts Single Player Campaign Trailer Reveals More

Gungho Cowboy

I can now finally sit down to write that what I can digest about the release of the Call of Duty: Ghosts Single Player Campaign Trailer which was released last year we have to prioritize the airsoft stories first. The Single Campaign stories have been subject to much speculation but the trailer, with just two months to go before the game, reveals more which also helps me speculate how the story evolves for this new title in the franchise.

It seems the beginning of the story is a space battle, where the U.S. has military Space Station called Odin was boarded by special operations forces that led to the Odin firing weapons into major cities and military installations in the Continental USA, gravely crippling the country's economies and the ability to defend itself.

With such a first phase operation completed and successful, the US then gets invaded by forces south of the equator. In this case, I see a USA invaded by a Latin/South American power, taking the opportunity of its weakness to launch a full scale invasion. The uncanny feeling is that the South American power in the trailer gives some hints to a powerful Venezuela as we see that the berets of the bad guys are similar in colour to what the Venezuelan Armed Forces are wearing. Another is the flag shown in the background when one of the Ghosts was abseiling down to take out another bad guy. It is almost similar to the flag of Venezuela.

Is this a Latin America unified by Venezuela, where the dreams of the former Venuezuelan strongman, the late Hugo Chavez gets fulfilled? Is this the Bolivarianism where there is unity among the South Americans that Chavez advocated when he was alive, and united against the Imperialist, the United States America?

But still, looking at the map, Venezuela is still north of the equator and there is a big country south of the equator: Brazil. Or it could be another new, powerful and prosperous country that arose in the unification of some South American countries. The Bolivar Republic?

It's not far off the mark, as the love-hate relationship between the USA and south of her borders continues and the South Americans love standing up against the USA for some valid reasons.

We do not know if other world powers which are usually in the plot of Call of Duty such as the Russians and even the Chinese have any involvement in the downfall of the USA and that is what we'll get to find out when the game gets released in November.

With the weakened United States, some freedom fighters, in this case a unit called "Ghosts" undertake some of the most dangerous missions in thwarting the plans of the invaders to forever destroy the country. Indeed, it's time for those in the Ghost unit to finally earn their masks.
