Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Gives Us "Induction" As E3 Teaser

Logan

Activision decided to even whet the appetites of fans of the Call of Duty Series at the E3 2014 by releasing the "Induction" gameplay preview of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare where the story revolves around a Private Military Company called Atlas that has become powerful that governments cannot control.  The preview puts us in Seoul, South Korea where the US Marines get air dropped into battle with the use of drop pods.

The first thing you notice is the rifle used in first person review. When the character reloads, we do not see any fresh magazine inserted instead pulls a bolt. As mentioned in previous article here, this must probably the 3D Printer Rifle which prints out ammo with liquid matter contained in a tank and is inserted in the stock area. It  can also be used to control the landing by firing shot bursts to slow down a jump from a high altitude.

You cannot just help comparing COD Advanced Warfare with Killzone or Titanfall with the ability to have boosted jumps to reach an advantage point. But it will change the way players will deal with tactical movements especially in the multiplayer campaigns.

Going back to the video, we see two types of grenades use. The first one is the Threat Grenade that when it's thrown it emits a pulse which will then reveal the enemies in the Heads Up Display and from there you know how you will prioritize your shooting. The second one is a fragmentation grenade that seems to have a proximity sensor that while in mid air it explodes overhead showering the enemies with shrapnel fragments.

IGN was at the E3 2014 Xbox Media Briefing and here is there take of the teaser gameplay for you to understand further the game:

As we expect this to be a more high-tech FPS COD title than COD Black Ops 2 we see massive mechs being deployed in the game with even more extensive use of drones and hovering aircraft. So far, the gameplay looks and still has the COD feel even if you think it's starting to look like Titanfall.
