We hope you all greeted the 2015 with a big bang. We did it here in the Philippines as we're on a holiday break here. Celebrating new year in the Philippines is like getting into a warzone,  fireworks in almost every street with people just lighting up with abandon all kinds of pyros that can give colour and loud sound whenever they fire. No wonder that new year's eve is always greeted also with some unlucky houses and even whole neighbourhoods burning down caused by careless handling of fireworks.

There is even a more dangerous method of celebrating new year here --- firing guns in the air instead of just being contented with fireworks. There were incidents of people injured or killed by stray bullets from guns fired in the festivities.
