The fascination about one of the world's most elite and feared special operations units, the US Navy SEALs is still all the rage today. Whilst already famous as the War on Terror is waged, the killing of Osama Bin Laden just made them even more famous. The unit has been featured in so many movies, TV series, video games, and books. Even former members had to write their own books just to get a piece of the money-making action.

That means information about the US Navy SEALs abound in the world, so as much as they are supposed to be a secretive special operations force,  they are one of the most wrote about. The only problem is that most of these information are either works of fiction, or if said to be real life account of the unit, it's rarely vetted or supported by Pentagon nor the White House.

United States Naval Special Warfare / U.S. Navy SEALs, which is written by Greg E. Mathieson Sr. and David Gatley is said to be the first book of its kind that shows behind the scenes of the Navy SEALs. Being The book design looks more like a yearbook,  rather than a coffee table book with which its artwork was carefully thought about. This book goes into factual details of their training, mission, and sacrifices, including the men and women who supported the teams as they plan, train for  and execute their missions.

There is more to be shown by this 403-page book, including weapons developed for the operators for specialised functions or missions. According to the description of the book, it is heavily laden with photos as both authors are photographers themselves, they were given unprecedented access for over five years and were able to record restricted areas with their cameras.

While the book is being  finalised for full release, pre-orders are being taken at a special price of US$62.50. When it gets released, the full price will be at US$98.00.  Avid fans of the US Navy SEALs can take the opportunity to get this at a much lower price, though there is no actual date of released mentioned. As a coffee table book, this takes prominence in the reception area or office desk.
