Battlefield 4 "Obliteration" Game Mode Sounds Like Fun

Gungho Cowboy

As we near the release date of Battlefield 4 with each much vaunted new Frostbite 3 Engine, we see more and more multiplayer game modes being released as DLCs for the Beta version of the FPS Game. For those who are already in the Beta mode of the game, they must be having fun with the new game modes released for Beta Game Play.

One of the newly announced game modes is the "Obliteration" game mode which would also be fun to be setup as a game scenario in an airsoft game. It is a bomb the objective with a twist: a bomb will respawn in any location of the medium sized map and two teams will then fight it out to capture the bomb then bring to it to one of the three objectives to detonate it. Once an objective has been bombed, another bomb will then respawn somewhere in the map and the attacking and defending starts all over again until all three objectives have been bombed by a team.

This game mode emphasizes on three things: teamwork, speed, and good offense. Thus, the focus on certain points of the map will be part of the quick planning by the team before the game starts. I haven't tried it yet and  I can just imagine that the last objective not bombed, wherever it may be on the map, will always be the most intense part of the game as both the defending or attacking team will immediately pour all their players in that location for the final push.

This game mode will involve vehicles which would either provide quick support to clear the path ahead for the bomb carrier focus on any major attack that will be put to bear on the team once the bomb is retrieved and its way to the objective. So this will be fun as things will be fast paced, vehicles would surely have an even more important role in this game mode.

Other players would prefer this game mode to have more than 24 players (12 versus 12?) but perhaps to have a fast paced game in a medium scale map, this would do.  If you don't dig this map, there will are still other game modes for you to try: Conquest, Domination, Defuse, Team Deathmatch, Rush, and Squad Deathmatch.
