Many of airsoft players are fans of the Walking Dead Series and there are airsoft events which take the zombie-theme. There are events around the world which are organized to either give you a mission to get away from zombies, or clear a building full of them. Organizers of these zombie-themed events are actually making a killing (in terms of money) as these events are bit on the expensive side given the equipment that are needed to be used and actors to be paid.

Now, a group in Las Vegas want to take that zombie adventure theme to another level. Adventure Combat Ops have resorted to crowdfunding using Kickstarter to provide "The most realistic, apocalyptic, combat simulation in the world."

But one of the attractions of Adventure Combat Ops that makes them different from other zombie adventure organizers are the involvement of real world operators where highly trained special operations soldiers will lead participants in teams to go against the zombies.

You will receive “Special Ops Training," and then we will immerse you into a "Call of Duty"-type setting and operation.  Our 70,000 square foot, indoor facility, adjacent to the Las Vegas Strip, is the place where the Apocalypse comes to life! Is it a game or reality?  Is it virtual or a life experience?   You be the judge!  Adventure Combat Ops Team Leaders are elite, former Army Ranger/Navy SEAL/Green Beret/Delta Force Operators.  You will be placed into teams, instructed by these combat heroes, and put to a test during a life experience, in the ultimate ACO virtual video game. Come experience an entirely new world that puts you participating at the front lines facing off against a supernatural threat! This two hour, live action event is a sensory immersive attraction that taps into each of your senses at a level like never before. This is a virtual “Rainbow Six Vegas” (type game) in the Apocalypse!

The adventure, if ever it meets its Kickstarter funding goals of US$400,000, will take place inside a 70,000 square foot facility in Las Vegas Nevada. The facility will be laden with special effects that will affect the senses, to make them feel that they are actually in a zombie-infested location to eliminate zombies and terrorists alike in a 2-hour adventure that may just be the best zombie-themed immersive entertainment event.

There are still over three weeks to go and the it still has a long way to go to meet its funding goals (or find some investor somewhere else). If all goes according to plan then the facility can  be operational by Fall 2014.
