Well, if you look closely, they're not. They're actually warming their hands with this handy product made by FHF Gear. Called the Molle-Muff, it's a cold weather gear designed to keep your hands from freezing while operating in conditions in which temperatures start to drop to freezing. Especially in this cold weather season, it's a very much practical product to have it attached to your gear. Just imagine your trigger finger freezing when out their in the woods playing airsoft.

Designed to hang below your belt, thus having it always up front (just imagine using this attached behind your back), you can keep your hands warm and you can immediately bring your hands to your weapon since it's proximate enough to where it is as long as your weapon is in front of you. Made of 500 Denier Cordura, the Molle-Muff is available in the multicam pattern, coyote brown or a custom color of your choice.

To keep your hands warm, here is what they say the Molle-Muff contains:

The muff holds one large or several smaller chemical hand-warmers in a mesh pocket inside the 300 wt. fleece. Sandwiched between the fleece and the DWR coated Cordura is a very thin layer of closed cell foam. This keeps your hands very warm and dry.

I don't know if it can keep your coffee warm inside, but I wouldn't try it. There are "Muff-Links" that will be attached via elastic or velcro to armor closure systems. Even if you're wearing gloves, you can still put your hands inside and when not in use you can fold it to keep moisture and grime out.
