Gareth Llewellyn of the Airbana Network always surprises us with his online concoctions providing us with useable apps for us to get airsoft information about airsoft sites, retailers, and events. In line with his Airbana Maps, he has now opened to the general airsoft public Airsoftteam.info which would allow your team be located in Google Maps.

If your team wants to be listed at Airsofteam.info, all you need to do is register your team and once confirmed, you get a subdomain, http://yourteam.airsofteam.info. As Gareth says, you can upload your logo, write a detailed description about your team, add location details to be added to the new Airbana Team Map, provide a list of Team members, and a spanking new blog for you to announce or discuss anything with your team members, and other musings.

This is a great service, and Gareth is open to suggestions on what features that you would want to add. Given that it is a free service for airsoft teams, we admonish that you should'nt abuse it. You can email him by click this email link.

We initially suggested if there's a site redirect for airsoft teams which have existing forums too. As for other features that Gareth would add in the future, he is still quiet about these, and would rather hear feature suggestions from you. There are things that we might suggest:

1. Allow Flickr Photo Streams if airsof team has a Flickr account. This would also save on server space as the photos are served by Flickr;
2. Calendar for events that team members would be interested in;
3. Integration of official team twitter account if to show tweets made by members; and
4. Facebook feed if team uses a Facebook account for their purposes rather than have their own community page.

Since Airsofteam.info is still in beta, please do expect the service to have some hiccups while it is being improved. So some patience is needed if the service is sometimes down. But rest assured that such maintenance or updates will be for your benefit.

We suggest that you better grab that subdomain that you want as we expect something of land grab rush here. There will airsoft teams from different countries which use the same team name. So try to beat those other same-name teams before they beat you to it.
