If you haven't had a breather yet with all those Harlem Shake videos in the interwebs, pity you, as here's another viral meme that is getting the attention of the media everywhere and Photoshop users who love action movies and have time in their hands to touch up screenshots.  If you've been seeing some photos being shared on Facebook of action stars with their thumbs up in various movie screenshots, chances are, you are looking at doctored photos from Thumbs & Ammo.

Started by some blokes in England, it's also a dig against guns in the movies and the gun culture. Whilst you may not agree with their anti-gun stance, you will agree that their photoshopped scenes have produced some amusing photos, or else they will not have gone viral.  Besides, it helps kill time when you are bored.

Even their name and logo "Thumbs & Ammo" is also a dig at "Guns & Ammo" magazine. Perhaps one the reasons they came up with such play of action movies and American gun culture is that the fascination on firearms by some enthusiasts that sometimes borders on lunacy.

Anyone can contribute to their own thumbs-up action hero to Thumbs & Ammo so if you like what you see and want to share something, then have that Photoshop software ready and the action scene you want to touch up.  The only thing required for the touched up photo is that in the original photo or screenshot, the actor is holding a gun. As the owners of Thumbs & Ammo say "Real tough guys don't need guns, they just need a positive, can-do attitude."  So be it.

Always check the website before you do your own contribution, as chances are some of the most famous scenes may have already been touched up. You can look beyond Hollywood or check some animated action movies or even those brutal actions scenes made in Asia, such as those from Redemption. Kung Fu movies fail here as they rarely have guns in use, especially those old Jet Li ones.
