Have you sent in your nominations for the 2nd Airsoft Players' Choice Awards? If not, better send in your nominations as the Official Nomination Period is now on its second week. The Nomimnation Period ends on the 27th of December where the top nominees per category will then move on the to voting round. So rally your airsoft community to send in their nominations.

There are three categories that you should notice that have specific instructions that should have been conducted in the year 2010: Best Airsoft Video; Best Airsoft Event; and Best Airsoft Product Review. Any nomimation in these categories not done in the year 2010 will not be accepted and thus, you should take careful note when submitting nominations in these categories.

You might be wondering about the Special Airsoft Player's Award category. This is somewhat broadly defined as your are given the opportunity to give this award to the airsoft player who you think as contributed much in the promotion of airsoft or done something that you think deserves an award. Dr. Airsoft won last year due to his contributions on airsoft safety. Perhaps an airsoft innovation outside of the usual airsoft manufacturers; organised an airsoft event that raised funds for a good cause; someone who helps young people to get into the sport rather than doing something unproductive in the streets... whatever you can think of that you think the airsoft player you know has done something really unique and special.

We understand that the Best Airsoft Event shuts out smaller events, but we created this category to recognise airsoft organisers who can conduct massive events and have the time to raise resources to gather a great number of airsoft players in one place and make them appreciative of such efforts. It does not necessarily need to be an airsoft milsim and skirmish event, it can be an airsoft exhibit or conference. But one thing that these types of airsoft events make clear --- airsoft is becoming bigger and more mainstream each year.

As always, take your time to go over the nomination form as your submission counts a lot for the nominees. If you have other mates who haven't nominated yet, better remind them to nominate their favourites. The more nominations that your favourite gets, the better chances that nominee shall proceed to the final and voting round.

UPDATE: Please do not nominate Popular Airsoft in any of the categories. As the organiser of this event, the website is disqualified from being a nominee for the awards. But thanks to those who nominated us nonetheless, even if those nominations will not count.
