Within 1 minute and 30 seconds if you are proficient at doing it according to Public Enemy. Not as quick as those in split gearbox type AEGs made in Taiwan and Japan (and knock-offs from China), but with all those screws, you'll need a tool to take it down and do the spring change unlike the APS UAR that doesn't require any tools.
The word is out that the GHK G5 Gas Blowback airsoft gun has such really blowback and recoil action but how about the dreaded cold weather? Will it matter? According to our friends at Public Enemy, WGC Shop got an advance unit to test and they put it through some simulated "winter" weather temperature. Not exactly the most scientific test, but it shows the potential of this GBB for winter skirmishing.

As posted earlier by our content partner, Public Enemy, here's another video of the GHK G5 Gas Blowback airsoft gun prototype being fired by those who visited TAF during the Chinese New Year Celebrations in Taiwan. The video shows good recoil (one of us said it's more of vibration) and smiles on those who test fired it. Overall it's looking good and we hope this is already in production for its eventual release to the market.
Want to try and fire the GHK G5 Gas Blowback Rifle? If you're in Taiwan, you can have the chance as TAF Custom will be putting this available for anyone to try during the Spring Festival from the 13th up to the 16th of February from 1400H to 2200H GMT+8 according to Public Enemy. This is a GBB that is said that the recoil is strong that you will need both hands to control to fire it properly.
It's Upotte this time in Issue No. 8 of Public Enemy Upotte is a relatively a new Manga series by Kitsune Tennouji which started in July 2009. It is about a school where the students are anthromorphized guns where they aim (no pun intended) to become useful weapons. And in the tradition of Japanese Manga, sexy teenage students are the main characters.
Here's aRick with a short video of the upcoming UMP Gas Blowback SMG from Vega Force Company (VFC) featuring the firing modes as this one's got the 2-round burst. He finds the UMP nice and looking just like the real steel. Check the video on how the recoil is and you still have a chance to get the VFC 2013 Calendar.

Public Enemy is the latest to review this AEG coming from Magpul PTS... "Following the KWA launch of the sci-fi flavoured KRISS GBB, Magpul PTS also launched their own version in 'Ghost in the Shell' style as seen in the the PDR-C AEG which is expected to be available in the Chinese New Year. Thanks to the PTS Social Marketing for the support so here's our review."
We're still having second thoughts on the design of the WE SMG-8 gas blowback SMG, which we call the mutant version of the H&K MP7A1. Anyway, whilst we're pondering on the design, here's Public Enemy gettin the scoop of of it being test fired. So far, the sounds and firing seems to be good, but until we get some performance data, we leave our judgement for the future.

There's some excitement about the Spartan Airsoft GPNVG-18 which is a dummy of the Spartan GPNVG-18 and even having a working replica would be very expensive for now. But for those who want to learn more about this product, Public Enemy just did us a service as aRick visited the Spartan Airsoft office to try out a prototype version of the dummy.
As to how it worked out, better read the full story at Public Enemy.
