The GTMedia N4 night vision goggles are very much affordable and Moondog takes a look at it if it provides value... "Night vision goggles (NVGs) used by military combat units cost thousands of dollars. But with 'Digital Night Vision' goggles have made night vision affordable for civilians; in the hundreds of dollars (and sometimes under a hundred). GTMedia sent me their newest N4 model test and it is a good example of this type of NVG."
Moondog takes a good look at Monstrum Ghost 2x magnifier... "At SHOT Show earlier this year I got a first look at what could potentially be a game changer. Monstrum created a 2x magnifier with an exceptionally long eye relief so that it is positioned forward of your red dot or prism. This allows you a clearer field of view than a traditional magnifier but if you use a magnified prism optic, you can multiply it’s magnification by 2x and get even higher power."
A full review by Moondog of the Nightforce ATACR 1-8x24... "The ATACR is the optic of choice for special forces, contractors, and SWAT. In many ways, it’s the gold standard for tacticool LPVOs known for its light transfer and intensely bright illumination. Nightforce is known for it’s durability and reliability in real world combat. But also known for being Gucci with a street price around $3000.
Moondog gives his take on the SIG Tango6T 1-6x LPVO in this video... "In 2019 the US Army selected the SIG Tango6T as the optic for their HK Designated Marksmen Rifles and for use by Special Forces. The model I tested is the civilian version, differing in its markings but effectively identical to the Army version. I have read conflicting articles stating that the DMR rifles is an SFP version of the Tango6T but I can not confirm this. Of the two Tango6T samples I tested, one lent to me by Monstrum Tactical and another was the personal optic of a friend in law enforcement."
Moondog Industries organised an online Q&A about the upcoming Operation Bad Blood 2024 that will happen by the end of June 2024. If you haven't booked your slots yet, better do so now before it's too late... "Livestream with the creator of Operation Bad Blood, Moondog. And the volunteer staff of this year's game."
Moondog Industries takes a look at the Discovery ED-LHT Gen 2, if it is sharpest scope under US$300... "Discovery Optics sent me their ED-LHT precision hunting scope. The new Gen2 features Japanese ED glass, reducing chromatic aberrations and improving overall sharpness. Or at least that’s what ED glass is supposed to do, but given the LHT’s budget price, one can get a little suspicious."

Another optic for Moondog Industries to go over for this video review, covering the Discovery ED-PRS Gen2 5-25x56... "While testing the new Gen2 ED-PRS that Discovery Optics sent me to review, I was filled with deja-vu. It felt like I had just reviewed the ED-PRS though that was a year ago. Visually the Gen 1 and the Gen 2 are nearly identical save for slightly bolder font on the turrets."
Moondog Industries got a magnifier to check out during the SHOT Show 2024, the Monstrum Ghost 2x Forward Magnifier... "The Ghost magnifier is the first of its kind that I’m aware of that fits forward of the aiming optic instead of behind it. This allows the GHOST to work with both red dots and prism scopes; converting a 4x prism scope to an 8x. It comes with a side-flip mount."
During the SHOT Show 2004 Moondog Industries took a look at 80x and 400MOA March Scopes that we on display... "Since the departure of Nikon from sporting optics, March Scopes has stepped up to become Japan’s maker of premium rifle scopes. They are known among competition Precision Rifle Series (PRS) shooters for their high power scopes. At SHOT Show I was introduced to their new 80x Majesta scope, the highest power rifle scope I’ve ever seen.
Moondog Industries does a review of the Monstrum Panzer 1-10x FFP, if it is the best budget LPVO right now... "Panzer 1-10×24. This is their first, First Focal Plane (FFP) 1-10x and is distinguished from their other LPVO’s with a new tank-tread texture on its turret caps and control surfaces. In addition, it comes with their PRO Series offset mount."
