Yosser sends in the link to his latest review which is about the Custom Kydex Holster made for the VTG/BFG... "Great kit from HW Holsters, really impressed with the fit and finish of these Kydex holsters and I’ve seen some of the pistol holsters these guys produce, truly impressed! Some Kydex produced stuff has a ‘home made roughness’ to it. Not so this gear – it looks professionally made and produced with attention to detail and a nice range of options available. Well worth checking out and adding to your load-outs."

Sam of Team Talon dropped a message about doing some video work for airsoft retailer SOCOM Tactical based in Hampshire. He mentions that they are right now working on videos about some of the coolest gear around. The first video, as shown below, is the SWAT Training Device VTG (Versatile Training Grenade), which is a BFG (Black Firing Grenade). He gives an in-depth look at this product such contents including how to prime it.

We love the name of this BFG which reminds us of a beer commercial featuring one of the hottest ladies we've seen in the tropics. Sam gave us a heads up of the review his group made about this BFG... An update sent in by Yosser's Airsoft Odyssey regarding developments at SWAT Training Devices. The Versatile Training Grenade (which is also a Blank Firing Grenade) is now available in Banana Yellow, Olive Drab, and Tan colours which should be good for those who prefer a more "colourful" BFG. Airsoftology gets to have the new BGFGx from S.W.A.T. and they give us a good take on it on you can use it for airsoft games... Yosser's Airsoft Odyssey gets back to the Blank Firing Grenades as he has this big news for everyone. The BFGX in black and white colours in the photo below is his very own custom BFGX... "Airsoft Fans world wide are having problems sourcing re-usable BFG's - and even the impact types are getting harder to find. The ever reliable Dynatechs are rarer by the minute and commanding HIGH second hand values.

Love the sound of the Blank Firing Grenades? Here's an even better one called the BFGx5 which is coming soon according to Yosser's Airsoft Odyssey... "Like its predecessor the BFGX5 promises multiple calibre compatibility (via adaptors) - although, initially it will be released for 9mm blank which, we are told, will give it a quick load ability (with further adaptors available, based on demand).

Close call for Yosser as he reports on a misfire of the 12Gauge Dynatec BFG which fortunately left him in one piece, and no serious injuries. The BFG detonated prematurely upon release which means that the timing is off and this presents a serious danger to those using it. He is still looking into the problem(s) that caused such but if you have one and know this issues, please share the information on how to prevent such from happening to others.

Yosser's Airsoft Odyssey Blog does us a service with this review and how to get the most out of using `nades in airsoft. He starts with the issue of using pyros, whilst they are fun to use, they are more expensive and not reusable. What he suggests is that blank firing grenades or BFGs can be viable alternatives to pyros:
