The Public Enemy Crew couldn't wait any longer for the Spartan Airsoft Dummy NVG-18 that they went to their office for them to try it out first hand. They say it's a 1:1 scale model of the NVG and simulates the night vision edge light function without affecting your vision when looking through the dummy NVG. Better put together your Zero Dark Thirty Loadout as this will be a cool addition for the US Navy SEAL impression you're putting together.

If you're just for the looks and the photoop in some awesome loadout, then this dummy L3 CND-T Thermal Night Vision Device being made by Spartan Airsoft Tactical would surely get your attention. You can also use this with any rifle optic such as red dot sights and the ACOGs for an even better look. As for release date and pricing, not details yet.

There's some excitement about the Spartan Airsoft GPNVG-18 which is a dummy of the Spartan GPNVG-18 and even having a working replica would be very expensive for now. But for those who want to learn more about this product, Public Enemy just did us a service as aRick visited the Spartan Airsoft office to try out a prototype version of the dummy.

The Zero Dark Thirty movie surely made you want to own the NVGs that were used by SEAL Team Six during the take down of Osama Bin Laden as shown in the photo above. Even if it's just a dummy, it'll be useful for some photo-op or Navy SEAL impression you've been trying to put together. With Public Enemy's report about a dummy GPNVG coming out from Spartan Airsoft, then the wait is almost over. As for the pricing and availability, no details yet though.

More information released by Gunsworkshop regarding the ipcoming Spartan Airsoft PRC-148 radio for airsoft players (we know that the players can't wait and are now wanting to place their orders as long as the frequencies are allowed in their countries without need for a licence)... "We are pleased to informed you that the new Spartan Airsoft PRC-148 functional radio will be launched very soon, they running limited edition, here are the specifications for your reference:

The nearest thing that you can put in your loadout if you're eyeing the AN/PRC-148 Multiband/Intra Team Radio (MBTIR). This software-based radio is available as a dummy made by Spartan Airsoft and available at RSOV.com for US$48.99. You can place a small FRS/PMR radio such as a Motorola talkabout inside and make it look like a functioning radio. Then use a Peltor/Sordin or Swimmer type headset to complete the radioman look.

This dummy radio is getting popular and you can get one from Gunsworkshop complete with instructions on how to install a radio inside to make it "work" with your favourite radio headset. A Motorola Talkabout T5228 or smaller and with a headset input will fit. It will fit most of the airsoft PTT sets in the market, as long as these have the Motorola 1-pin feature. This will be available in mid-April 2009.
